It's certainly one of the reasons why we see more and more Ed Guard helmets on the road and in the streets. The brand has to face technical choices, like the use of triple density foaming. This material helps the helmet to stay in place and drastically reduces external noise. It's also the choice of synthetic Leather and Nubuck, as one of the founders of the brand explains : "Leather suffers if you don't regularly feed it. During summer season, for instance, when you go back from the beach, your head is wet and salted. Where natural leather will become black and corroded, synthetic leather will not suffer because it does not require any particular treatment....furthermore, synthetic leather is much more pleasant to wear, and avois any excessive sweating effect."
